With the destruction of Hudatris, an oceanic planet that met a cruel fate due to the monster known as “It”, two Datronid sisters were enlisted by the Agency to help capture and potentially kill the beast and avenge their home planet.

Zara, the elder of the two, is highly unpredictable and erratic. She's always rushing around the Lighthouse, unable to remain in one place. She is never idle, whether captivated by the station's inner workings, sometimes volunteering to perform checks to learn more, or rambling
about the flow of time in the void and its inherent instability. Her interest in the Lighthouse’s inner mechanisms draws her towards Dia, which results in the two of them getting close to one another and becoming lovers.

Her value for the mission stems from her innate ability to perceive a disruption of time; When it's skipped, erased, or encroaching. Since 'it' closely resembles the Hudatris organism from which they gather nutrients, the sudden feeling of fullness accompanied by a bright light emitting from her cranium serves as a warning.

Because of her mischievous nature, Zara occasionally pretends to be full to send the crew into a tizzy. She relishes exciting situations, and, when boredom strikes, creates mischief and mayhem to spark interest. "Why be stuck in the void without having some fun?" is her motto. Despite her mischief, she does take the mission seriously and does what is necessary for the mission’s success, even if that means risking her life.
