The second son of the once noble Pyrrhos family, Xylo has always been covered by the shadow of expectations. Unable to skillfully wield his sun magic, he was neglected by most of his family throughout his childhood. One of his only joys was leaving the fridgid land of his home in the North during the summer and visiting his mysterious friend Sonal down in the forested lands. However, after a devastating accident, the two were separated and had their memories sealed away. 
All that is left of that time is the feeling after you wake up from a dream, but you can't quite remember it. For Xylo, that feeling is fear and rage. 
He now works as a Knight Captain under his brother's command, channeling all his energy into his fighting capabilities and taking down miasmic monsters that seem to be manifesting more frequently across the land. However, his fairly normal existence is quickly torn down as two familiar faces from the past return: Sonal's and a masked god's that haunts his darkest nightmare.
