The Akarans are an alien species. Their main traits are being around 7-8 feet tall, being various shades of black, purple and pink, copper, and blue, having four limbs, and ribbons with quantity varying by age.

They have a unique ability to “bond” with simplistic life forms and take on their traits. On their home planet this is often with thermosynthetic creatures and photosynthetic creatures. This allows them to produce some amount of sugars themselves, but it is far from them being solely reliant upon it. This bonding usually manifests as a crown of the bondee, a tail of the bondee, slight color shift of color, and on some Akarans the bondee on the arms or legs.

The Akarans live natively on the planet Akari, which is a rocky planet with a geologically similar climate to Earth’s, with higher mountains and deeper larger caves since the planet’s gravity is 0.8 G, less than Earth’s average of 1.0 G. The atmosphere is around the same pressure as earth, and contains much less oxygen than Earth and lethal (to humans) amounts of ammonia.

They have their own language and culture, the commonly used worldwide language is Thik (◇ ◫ ⩑ ⫣ in Thik) Suprisingly, this language almost exactly shares a vocabulary with English, simply with different characters and pronunciations. This is due to pure random chance.

I have many different Akarans that are featured in the story, but Lien is the main one!
