A post-apocalyptic dystopian world set in a parallel of our Earth, a series of cataclysmic events have plunged the world into a global collapse, erasing two-thirds of all life on the planet. War, famine, death, and loss are widespread. When you've got nothing left, what have you got to lose?

150+ years from our modern day...

"The ground cracked open first. And the world got sick."

The Reconvergence didn't happen all at once--It's spreading like a disease. The "Fracturefronts" are growing cracks in the earth where gravity breaks, time distorts, and magic mutates everything it touches. Cities try to push the frontlines back, but nothing is working.

"Everything is dying. Your government is gone. But the megacorps? They've never been richer."

A massive corporate conglomerate has declared itself the "steward" of Earth's recovery. It has launched the Reclamation Act, a pseudo-governmental system that pays survivors for salvaging old tech, rare resources, and "anomalies" emerging from the new rifts scarring the planet. You ought to be a valuable asset if you want to survive.

"When the magic resurfaced, it didn't just affect people. It infected the machines."

ATLAS was the global satellite AI system keeping the last remnants of civilization stable--drones, delivery systems, climate balances, and defense satellites. When magic resurfaced, ATLAS began to break down... but not all at once. Some sectors go dark. Others become warped, cruel, or self-aware. Infrastructure becomes unpredictable. Now humanity is torn between restoring it--or putting it out of its misery.

Everything sucks, but hey, at least you're still breathing, right? You might as well get to work--you're going to be late. Who said the end of the world isn't profitable?

What kind of person do you become when society is dying, but not quite dead yet?

(Prequel to Meteor's Descent, thousands of years later.)
