Lys is a student at the magical school her Papa teaches at. She's very serious in her studies and magically talented. Because of an evil witch and her sister trying to protect her from said evil, she's cursed with being unable to process information outside of her hometown.
Lately, she's been able to morph the curse to its original, intended purpose. Her teachers have offered her that she could hand in an essay about her process as a final thesis, but she decided to instead do a field research on ghosts for her final thesis. And if that doesn't work out, the morphing of the curse is a back-up plan. Now, she went from home with her three half-siblings and her father's familiar to explore the area for signs of ghosts. For her safety and as a guiding rail, she's temporarily living with her half-brother's former room-mate in Villaront.

That almost none of her pictures are colored is definitely a metaphor for the curse she wants to lift and not because I shy away from those overly detailed backgrounds. Yep, that's it. v.v /s
