Maes is an alien from the planet Akari. Their species is known as the Akarans.

They live on Akari, doing their task as the manager of a data management branch in the Search headquarters. They initially wanted to go on missions to other planets, but when they were promoted that became unlikely.

They are waiting patiently for their partner Lien to return from their first mission, but of course things don’t go smoothly. When Maes hears that Lien was shot down by Hostile natives of the planet, they make their it their goal to do everything in their power to get Lien back. Of course, Maes doesn’t know whether Lien will be a corpse or alive, but whatever remains will come home.
