Aquila was one of the most infamous space pirates in history, leading the Helios crew alongside her husband, Apollo, for 12 years. She was Alshain's mother and Altair's grandmother. She was also the stepmother of Apollo's oldest child, Elara.

She was the youngest daughter of a mafia boss who's organization thrived in the Capella system. She was known for being an excellent fighter and marksman, occasionally wielding two guns at once. She was a calm, intelligent, and very serious person, rarely smiling or laughing in front of others. She spent most of her early life feeling trapped by her family and longed for the freedom to make her own choices.

At age 30, Aquila first met Apollo (an ally of her father's) when she was assigned as his bodyguard during the brief time he lost his powers. In the beginning, neither of them liked each other. Aquila found his arrogance and ego especially annoying. However, she warmed up to him when he started to show genuine care for her, leading to a gradual friendship and eventually romance.

Apollo took Aquila away from her family, finally giving her the freedom she always desired. She chose to stay with him, taking up the life of a space pirate for the next 12 years. She finally died at age 42 after a fight with a bounty hunter group.

Long after her death, she became a role model and source of hope for her grandson, Altair, who read her journal as a child and found that he identified with her in many ways. Aquila was a major inspiration for him wanted to become a space pirate, hence why Altair's crew is named after her.
