Haru is a kind and withdrawn worrier who is on the run from a shadowy organization. His memories from his life before are hazy at best. It’s unknown whether he has a family or where they are. He keeps people at arm's length out of fear of getting them hurt because of him. He has a spotty education, but is very intelligent and carries a strong desire to learn medicine – among his few possessions are a bag of medical supplies and some medical books.
