A 26-year-old ink artist from a city called Skirven. He's awkward and reserved, with no memory of his past (not that he has one).

Emmet was artificially created—sewn together from dead mortal flesh and fabric made of Murkthread. He was designed to cheat the Puppeteer's system: a being with no soul of its own and made to host another's. Crafted by Sorion Spool to be a vessel for St. Ego, he was intercepted and given a heart by now-dead Umbrishi Emmet Harrow. He fled the scene after waking up, believing he blacked out and murdered the Selvagite. After living in a small apartment on Skirven's outskirts for a while, he moved back to the city center to investigate recent cases of missing civilians.

He's fascinated by Stage creatures, drawing them in his sketchbook whenever he gets the chance. He can use Murkthread without a channel, as he's not fully human. His preferred craft is embroidery, and he can also heal small wounds with the stuff (only on himself, of course).

He lives in an apartment with Kat Tailor, his mystery-solving partner and later girlfriend, on the corner of Twinlock Street.
