Backstory:
Lumina was once part of a crew aboard a research vessel. She served as the role of their engineer, fixing improving anything around the ship that needed it.
One day, an incident caused the ship to go into lockdown. She was forced to take the only functioning escape pod.
Unfortunately when she arrived at home base, the company deemed it too dangerous to send a rescue. So, they left her crew to float off into space. Meanwhile, they stuck her into quarantine to check if everything was in order for her.
Once she got out, she decided to become a lone researcher. Being solo meant that she could try to search for her missing friends on her own time while she continued to carry out missions.
